About Ellisa
Ellisa believes singing can be an extremely healing experience, and that every student has a unique voice waiting to come out. Her job is to help you find it.
That belief is grounded in a real working-artist career. Ellisa is a professional musician whose songs have been featured in TV shows and movies, including the hit shows Heated Rivalry and Dollface. In 2019, she completed a 365-day tour, performing at venues across the USA and Canada while living in a 30-foot RV. She knows what it takes to sing night after night, because she's lived it.
Her teaching journey began after graduating from UC Santa Cruz in 2010, when she trained to become a professional vocal coach with Whitney Cytryn at Songbird Studios in San Francisco. More than a decade later, she focuses on contemporary vocal technique and has taught students of every level, from ages 8 to 80, in voice, guitar, and songwriting.
And here's what makes lessons with Ellisa unlike anyone else's: she's also been a yoga instructor for over six years. She weaves body movement, stretching, and breathwork directly into her teaching, because your voice doesn't live in your throat. It lives in your whole body.
