About Jase
Jase C. is the coach to see when you want a working, current, Nashville-plugged-in vocalist teaching you the craft. He doesn't teach from a textbook. He teaches from the stage, the studio, and years of competing at the highest levels of collegiate vocal music.
His performance resume reads like a snapshot of modern Nashville: he has performed with Cody Fry, one of the most exciting independent artists breaking out of the city right now, alongside jazz legend Chris Potter and the Nashville Symphony. He was also featured in Christmas at Belmont, streaming on Amazon Prime, one of the country's most prestigious collegiate music productions.
Before his professional career, Jase earned a Bachelor of Commercial Music from Belmont University with an emphasis in Voice and Music Technology. While there, he became a two-time winner of the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, one of the most competitive vocal events in the country. The ICCA trophy is only won by groups that master pitch, blend, arrangement, and physicality at a national level. Winning it twice is the kind of competitive pedigree most vocalists never get near.
In lessons, Jase teaches with blended techniques that pull from classical, pop, R&B, rock, and a cappella traditions. His goal is always the same: a positive relationship between the student and the craft of singing, built on proper technique, healthy habits, and vocal longevity. He specializes in versatility, not cookie-cutter methods.
