About Paige

Paige G. brings a rare combination of world-class classical training and genuine versatility across contemporary styles. In a city full of vocal coaches, that kind of depth and range is uncommon.

She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Michigan, one of the most respected vocal programs in the country, and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Grand Valley State University. At Michigan, she studied with Dr. Rachael Gates, author of The Owner's Manual to the Voice, and Freda Herseth, renowned mezzo soprano and singing voice therapist at the University of Michigan Vocal Health Center. That lineage means Paige was trained from the ground up by some of the most respected voices in vocal pedagogy and voice science.

Her performance career reflects that breadth. She has held a professional choral residency at St. Paul's Cathedral in London and toured England under the direction of Scott Hanoian. She has been featured as the soprano soloist for Handel's Messiah with Christ Church Grosse Pointe and orchestra. And she has an extensive contemporary performance history, from intimate jazz combos to a 13-piece big band.

What makes Paige different as a teacher is how she uses that full spectrum of training in the studio. Classical foundations give you breath support, pitch precision, and sustainability that protect your voice for the long haul. Jazz and contemporary experience give you the freedom, phrasing, and stylistic authenticity that modern music demands. Paige teaches both. She can take a young classical student through auditions for competitive vocal programs, prepare a contemporary professional for a wedding or gala gig, or help an aging voice rebuild the stamina to return to community theater. The technique she builds transfers.

"I focus on building technical strength and long-term sustainability while encouraging authentic artistic expression. My goal is to create a supportive and fun environment where deep musical insight meets practical, genre-crossing technique."
